My foundation and experiences growing up in Simi and attending Royal High were what shaped me to become who I am today. I am grateful for many individuals who are a part of my story. There are a plethora of classmates, teammates, teachers, coaches, counselors and administrators who have been and are a blessing. I said I would never be a teacher, after watching what many teachers had to go through in a classroom. It's been over 40 years now, that I have been teaching and coaching. Most of my teachers and coaches gave so lovingly and freely of their time, patience, knowledge and compassion, that I felt the best I could do was to pay it forward.
